Hey! Looks Like I Disappeared!

 

 Hey, where did I go?

    Some may be wondering where I've been, disappearing from Speakuel, Twitter, Tumblr, only cryptically posting to Youtube sometimes. Or not! Maybe I give myself too much credit and truly am soul crushingly alone in this cold, dark universe! Well to answer my own question that only I'm asking, I'm here alone at home in Florida, moving back here since I moved out at least 5 months ago. What necessitated my leave home? Don't worry about it! I just went a bit crazy, I still am, but that's fine, I'm not here to post sorry stories about myself.

    Instead I wanna round up some personal things I wanna share to the void that is this blogger space because I truly feel alone otherwise and just wanna toss stuff into the void for a bit, so I made a couple of playlists of songs that I feel speak true to me and are what I'm all about, describing my soul in vivid ugly detail for passersby to gawk at, and they also just have some music that I like to listen to. New Podcast! Speakuel Podcast, MGPAP Assets, And Life updates

 Hey Again, All!

 

    Been a bit since I made the first post, gonna try to stick to this thing more in the future. You know how it is these days with the crushing dread of pandemia, getting a new podcast out there, and that holiday fever! But I won't get into too much of a sour mood about that because I wanna really establish this place as a real journal for my creative endeavors, from the podcast stuff, to other creative projects I'm brewing, to just hobby stuff to get me to loosen up and have a lot of things to do! So that's what this place is, if you're a fan of Rene's stuff, here's the place to get it, Art and Speakuel videos will be posted individually as well. Also thinking of doing a more general neocities website but we'll see if that comes to fruition.

MGPAP Assets

 

    Like I mentioned in the previous blog post, I'd intended to post some of the assets I've done for My Gym Partner's a Podcast, and here's a few! the nice full backgrounds in odd resolution that I for some reason never corrected until literally the final episode (it's ok though, I got it right for Speakuel). It was fun making these though since they tested my chops for doing backgrounds and scenery. I'd grown a bit fond of the MGPAP style that I was semi-adhering to here, so you can still see a bit of that influence in the Speakuel backgrounds and assets, but I'm glad to be working within my own style for that now. 

 

 

    Here's a few more assets from the special episodes, our second April Fool's episode and the actual Halloween episode. I think our second April Fool's Episode, Jakey Is His Name-O, is my favorite out of what we've done for the sheer effort and fun we put into it. I loved doing a camp lazlo background since it was a nice cozy change of pace, and of course the Squirrel Boy background (I hope to God I don't end up doing that for real down the line). The CN invaded episode was really fun to do as well because I got to actually bust out some research I've done to give a bit more insight into the special, and who doesn't love characters in Halloween costumes?

 

How's Life and What's Next?

    Well, I still got some assets I think I might post in a later, but other than that, expect some possible WIPs of projects. I think posting them here will help me get off my butt to do 'em, but then again you never know with the 'ol undiagnosed ADHD. I've always got ideas though, so I atleast should get those out. I'll also be posting general art/fanart I do here, kinda like tumblr but different cause this is blogger. Aside from that, I'm gonna keep trucking along these coming winter months, I have a potentially major life changing event next year if all goes as discussed, but for now I'm just keeping myself grounded and getting by these days. Hoping to learn the Xaphoon as well, might post videos of that once I have the embouchure down and can belt out some notes. I'm trying to add some variety and living to my life, if you're out there reading this, thanks for that since it helps, and I hope you're taking it easy and living your life how you'd like tempered by how you can. I'll leave y'all with another adlib type song and see ya in my next blog post.

    Hello! I've made a blogger! like the artists/creatives of then,  I wanted a place to chronicle my art endeavors, and the feel of blogger seems apt for me to try it out! I'm Rene, as you may or may not know, Co-Host of the completed My Gym Partner's a Podcast as well as of the upcoming Speakuel Podcast. I don't just do podcasts though, I'm working on animations, 3d/2d, just generally experimenting with the medium to see what art I can make with what I've got.

    I'll be posting on here progress of what I'm working on, as well as stuff I've done in the past like the backgrounds and assets I've done for My Gym Partner's a Podcast, and once it's out, assets from the Speakuel Podcast as well!
